Walk the Leakey Trail
A local guide leads a walk along the paths Dr. Louis Leakey followed while uncovering early human history on the island — with stops at the sites where his discoveries were made.
Boat to Ngodhe Island
Take a local boat across the lake to Ngodhe Island, where many of the region’s bird species nest and feed close enough to watch from the water.
Dates for the monthly walk and boat ride are set locally — ask us at the lodge for the next one when you arrive.
